Have you ever hired someone that just didn’t seem to be the right fit with your team or organization? Or maybe you did find that perfect candidate, but it took you about 5 months to complete the hiring process and also cost you an arm and a leg?
Every other person I speak to these days seems dissatisfied with their work; they don’t have a clear idea of what they want to do with their life (yes, even after age 30, its possible to not know what you want to do), are in need of ‘some kind of’ change, are looking to bring and get more value and meaning out of their work, or simply just don’t know where to begin.
At one time, flexibility meant to me being able to take a morning off for an appointment, working from home if I had a cold, or possibly working remotely on a Friday in an attempt to start the weekend early. I believed I had plenty of flexibility, but in reality I didn’t.
