Role

We are looking for a successful candidate to join our team to replace our existing Coach & Assessment Specialist while on maternity leave. This individual will have the overall responsibility of coaching clients on individual assignments and conducting assessment work for Impact. In addition, he/she will be responsible for managing the team of coach contractors to ensure that they are well supported and connected to the head office team.

Qualifications & Attributes

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of work experience, preferably in a business or HR environment in professional service firms.
  • A university degree and coaching accreditation is required. Graduate degree(s) and assessment certification(s) are an asset.
  • Assessment experience (conducting coach-led 360 interviews and writing assessment reports) is a strong asset.
  • Team player who likes to collaborate and share ideas with others. Strong ability to collaborate and form relationships in a virtual office environment.  
  • Passion for coaching. Demonstrates genuine curiosity to support clients on their goals and objectives.
  • Highly trustworthy, loyal and committed to a high level of integrity.
  • Highly professional with a strong focus on service excellence and quality.
  • Communicates effectively with clients and coaches on a timely basis and demonstrates honesty and respect in all interactions.
  • Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to execute projects on time with attention to detail.
  • Strong written communication skills through email and written documents/reports/deliverables.
  • Self-starter with high degree of initiative. Ability to operate effectively with little supervision or direction.
  • Comfortable working for an entrepreneur in a virtual environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coaching individual clients by following the Impact coaching process, utilizing Impact’s templates and tools.
  • Assessment work in the form of scheduling and conducting coach-led 360 interviews; debriefing results with the client’s Impact coach; drafting assessment reports for the coach; and peer-reviewing other coach’s assessment reports for quality assurance.
  • Assessment tool administration and client debrief if certified.
  • Management of the team of coach contractors including regular touch-points to ensure they are well supported; escalating and addressing any issues or concerns; liaising between the coaches and head office team; directing coach inquiries as appropriate; and informing coaches of updates and important information through regular communications when required.
  • Facilitate the development of the coaches’ technical depth in coaching by planning and assisting with the delivery of regular technical sessions for coaches throughout the year to discuss coaching topics and share best practices. Also involves sending out a monthly resource on coaching skills or industry trends.
  • Assist with the recruitment and selection of new coaches to the Impact team, along with facilitating orientation sessions for them and onboarding processes.
  • Updating and refining Impact’s coaching process documents as needed (intake questions, assessment interview questions, development plan templates, and handouts or worksheets) to continually enhance the tools that the coaches use with their clients.
  • Attend regular weekly head office team meetings and assist with head office operational and administrative tasks as required.
